7:00 P.M. SOLEMN MASS (ENGLISH)
ALTAR OF REPOSE UNTIL MIDNIGHT
COMPLINE AT 11:45 P.M.
At the conclusion of the Mass of the Last Supper on Holy Thursday, the Blessed Sacrament is carried in solemn procession to the Altar of Reposition, where it will remain until Good Friday. It has long been a tradition on this solemn night that Catholics would spend time in adoration at this altar in their own church, and they often visit other nearby churches to do the same. It is also customary that adoration concludes with the final hour of the Divine Office, Compline just prior to midnight.
It is essential that people be present throughout that time, therefore, I would encourage our parishioners to commit to a time of adoration on that evening in order to “keep watch with the Lord. The evening will conclude with Compline at 11:45 p.m.
